Sophie Hamden

Sophie is a celebrated figure in South Australian Calisthenics, where she is about to enter her 21st year in the sport. A highlight of her career was achieving 2nd place in the prestigious RSSS Ballarat Solo Competition in 2022. She has also won the Brooke Brown Diamond and Tanzanite Competitions, won CASA Solo Championships in 2021 and 2022, and has competed in Graceful and Solos at a National level since 2011.

Still performing at the highest level, she also embraces coaching opportunities, inspiring younger dancers with her warm leadership style, positivity and professionalism. 

Sophie values ACTC’s competition-free environment, where she gets to dance alongside close friends while making new interstate friendships. Beyond Calisthenics, she loves traveling, playing games, and spending time with loved ones - including her cuddly ginger cat Alfie. She also enjoys good food, especially pasta and ramen, and musicals like 'Wicked'.
